Boy do I remember Harveys Gold Street in Garden Grove. I lived upstairs there and worked the soft drink bar. I also worked at Harveys restruant at Chapman and Harbor. I knew Carmen, Gerard and his bro. Great family. Ike and Tina and the group used my bedroom as a dressing room. This was about 1965-66.

GREAT STORY, JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW I HAD A CLUB IN WESTMINSTER CALLED J.B.’S INN CROWD. I WAS KNOWN AS BIG MIKE, LEE AND BARRY, AND BUTCH USED TO PLAY AS MY HOUSE BAND AND CALLED THEM SELFS UNNATURAL ACT, WHEN THEY WERN’T ON THE ROAD WITH BILL MEDELY WHO ALSO USE TO STOP IN NOW & THEN TO JAM AT THE LAST SET AND EVEN BOBBY WOULD STOP BY. THOSE WERE THE GREAT TIMES IN MY LIFE. LEE EVEN LIVED WITH ME AND MY GIRL FRIEND ( NOW MY WIFE OVER 40 YEARS) AT THE TIME IN OUR APT.IF YOU SEE ANY OF THEM PLEASE GIVE THEM MY E-MAIL AND I AM GOING TO TRY AND LOOK LEE UP IN DEC. I’d considered that except they seemed to have produced their own material on the album and you produced yours…and a few covers. (Plus, I checked on BMI.com and that’s not one of their songs listed.) Since you were credited as the producer on the song, I thought either you wrote it or might know who did.

I’m pretty sure that was written by the Paris Brothers. Can’t find my copy of the album so I’m not sure.

Thanks for sharing your stories–very interesting! I have the tracks from “Shockwave” in MP3 format, but have had to piece together everything (production credits, songwriting credits, etc.). The only song I am not sure of on songwriting credits is “Just Remember” (lead vocal by Jean King, I believe). I have reached a dead end on the net and I don’t have the vinyl record, so is there any chance you would be able to help me out with the songwriting credits on that one song? Thanks, Art!
